Marketplace Ministry may sound like a new concept, but it isn’t.  It actually takes us back to the book of Acts, to the early church, and even to the 4 Gospels, and the ministry of Jesus Christ.  

 Jesus chose His 12 disciples from the marketplace, not from the clergy.  And, of the 52 parables Jesus taught, 45 were based on marketplace examples. 

 Only one of the miracles in the New Testament occurred at a place of worship.  All the other miracles happened among people in the world where they lived and worked, the marketplace.  In fact, Jesus was born in the marketplace, and the first people to visit him were business people, the shepherds & wise men.

 For years, the church has incorrectly elevated the importance of traditional preaching ministry above that of business leaders, who take Christ into the business world. But the Bible gives us examples of just the opposite, helping us understand that the greatest calling you can have is the calling you have, whether it is to preach from a pulpit, or to be a successful business leader, who uses their influence in the business world to become a major influencer, leading people to Christ
