As little children we learned this phrase, "God is love." But there is a great difference between memorizing something and understanding what it means.

Why does God love us? There are 3 reasons why we love anyone else: who they are, what they have or what they have done for us. But God doesn't love us for any of these reasons.

Our love for others may change, but why does God's love never change?

There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more than He loves you right now. And there is nothing you can do to make God love you any less than He loves you right now. Because God is love!
