Loyalty is the greatest character trait anyone can have, in relating to others, including our relationship with God. 

The Bible says that the “wounds of a friend are more faithful than the kisses of an enemy.”

The sad thing is that in our world, most people are only concerned with getting “kissed”, and avoiding being “wounded”.  But, when you think of it, a surgeon technically “wounds” you when they perform surgery, and must cut the tissue in your body.  But, we are grateful for that wound, even willing to pay the surgeon for cutting us, because that wound brings positive change, which will help us to live longer.

We need the “safety” in the “multitude of counselors”.  A counselor isn’t a “yes person”.  They love you enough to speak the TRUTH in love.  It may not feel great at the moment, like the surgeon’s cut, but in the long run, it makes you healthier. 

The counsel of Godly mentors and counselors in invaluable.  It makes us stronger, spiritually healthier, and enhances our walk with God.  This all comes from LOYALTY.
